Life can be mean so why should we give back? Of course, there are big ways of giving back; donating blood, volunteering at church, retirement homes, etc. But we often pass over the simple ways of giving back while living our life from day to day.
Here are five.
1. Opening a door for another person.

Simply by waiting and opening a door while they go through and can not only be a nice gesture; but maybe make someones day better.
2. Saying “you are beautiful.”

I am guilty of having this happen to me and I burst into tears. Sometimes others can say the simplest of things and it hits home for you during any time of the day.
3. When you see someone struggling, lend a hand.

There was a time where a young lady was struggling to pack her groceries into her cart and you could tell that she was frantic for taking to much time in line. Instead of getting heated, I simply walked over helped her out and said you are fine, take your time. Tears welled into her eyes and told me, “Thank you for being kind, I needed that.”
I did not know why at the time such a simple thing could mean so much to someone, but now from a new perspective; I get it.
4. Surprise someone by buying their drink.

If you happen to be in line at a local shop, simply by paying for the $5 drink can make someone’s day a whole lot brighter.
Leave A Thank You Note

This happens to be my favorite maybe because I am a die-hard softy, but truly it can make all the difference to someone. You don’t need to know the person personally, just say thank you for being you. You mean the world to someone and you make a difference. This can not only assure someone that might be questioning that they do have a purpose but to someone that is happy that others see the best of them.
In all honesty, being kind can come from all sorts of different sources and actions. From handing someone something they dropped to giving an anonymous check for someone who is in need. We all live this life, and life can be tough; it can break you apart and build you up.
During those times of breaking, having kind people around you can make all the difference in the world.
